I Love Cynics!

Lost all data between the end of December and my last post, which was in April. I’m taking back this blog. But apparently killing data in the process.

On average, I receive 200+ messages on this blog per day. I’d say 99.9% is spam. While my filters have done a fairly decent job nabbing offending messages, that’s still a lot getting through. I’m tired of it. Going through it all to find the real posts is time consuming and dull.

I’m on the lookout for something to fix it. Unfortunately, nearly all solutions revolve around commenters doing more work. Sorry about that, but I love to write, and I’m not going to let the spammers get the best of me. I know this blog has few readers, but I’d like the experience for those few to be as good as possible. I’m sure you don’t want to read ads for viagra, search engines, or stupid random non-sequiters that have nothing to do with the site.

In the mean time, comments are turned off, except for registered users. I don’t really expect anyone to register, but it’s the only solution until I come up with something else.
