Back up and running. Never had that much trouble updating WordPress before. I suspect I missed some basic instruction. What was most odd was that all of the administrative functions worked just fine, but there was absolutely no display from the user side. Strangeness, indeed.
Anyway, it appears to be working again. If anyone notices [...]

Five Years of Tedious Banter
November 24th, 2009 · No Comments
Just realized that this blog turned five years old a bit over a week ago. Oddly, that doesn’t add up to a ton of posts. As many promises of “posting more” as I’ve made, you’d think there’d be more! Might as well make that promise again. I will do my best to post at least [...]

Let’s see, in the past week….
Reaffirmed a woman’s right to reproductive freedom. CHECK
Setting in motion the closing of one of the nation’s most egregious examples of the trampling of human rights in Guantanamo Bay. CHECK
Improvements made in making government more transparent, and thus, more responsible to the people. CHECK

Updated WordPress

I’d been lettin’ it go for a while. Updated to version 2.7 and added a Twitter feed. I’m sooooo Web 2.0.
Have to say, I’m really liking the new WordPress interface.
Pimp my ride

So, I bought a new car. And I did it almost a month ago. You’d think I’d have written about it by now. But, no, I figured I’d wait until I’d driven it for a bit first. With nearly 800 miles on it, I guess now is a good time.
My trusty Toyota Corolla had over [...]

And giggle. Sit in front of your computer, eyes glued to your screen. Below is a list of web comics I read religiously. Consider this a blog “filler” post. And maybe you haven’t run across some of these, and you’ll get a chuckle out of them. The links don’t necessarily take you to the most [...]

Descent into Midlife Crisis: Step 3
June 17th, 2008 · No Comments
Passed the basic rider course. It was both the most nerve wracking and enjoyable thing I’ve done in some time. As the instructor said, “Get over your anxieties and you’ll have a great time.” The man can read souls. I think my main problem was with clutching. It’s been ten years since I’ve driven something [...]
Descent into Midlife Crisis: Step 2

Today I signed up for the MSF Basic Rider Course. I can’t believe the hours they set for these classes. The first day, a Thursday, you attend a class from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with class first and then an exam. Who in their right mind thinks taking a written test at 10 p.m. [...]
Descent into Midlife Crisis: Step 1

Today I passed the Motorcycle permit written test. Next month, I’m hoping to take the Basic Rider course that’s offered by a local group. I just have to get my cash together for that, as it’s not exactly cheap.
And I have to admit, cheap is the goal of this midlife crisis. The bike I have [...]
